Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.
The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. The most common schedule is 7 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. Its website is botbarcoffee.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Its Google rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 61 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Sacramento is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Sacramento follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Some coffee shops sell caffeine. BotBar Coffee sells optimism with a side of engineering. The coffee is excellent, of course, but that’s almost beside the point. Watching a robot barista make your drink is part science fiction, part performance art, and somehow it still feels surprisingly personal because the people behind it care so much. A special shout-out to the new co-owners Damien and Gracie who are bringing fresh energy while keeping the fun, welcoming spirit that made this place worth visiting in the first place. They were warm, engaged, and genuinely excited about what they’re building—not just a coffee shop, but a place where technology brings people together instead of replacing them. The result? Great coffee, great conversation, and a reminder that the future doesn’t have to be cold and corporate. Sometimes it hands you a perfectly made latte. To the people leaving one-star reviews because a robot made their coffee: relax. The robot isn’t plotting world domination. It’s just trying to get your espresso right. If the machines ever do take over, I hope they keep this management team—they actually know how to make humans feel welcome. If you’re in Sacramento, go for t

Coffee was good, the guy who works there is a robot so that's pretty cool, however the robot didn't make my drink I guess because I got a "(handcrafted)" latte so definitely be sure to take a look at what your ordering if you want that guy to make your drink, staff was a bit awkward I thought. Atmosphere is very nice and futuristic.

Adam, the Bot was very polite and efficient. The human, I didn't catch his name, but he was polite and helpful. The coffee had a good flavor, even though customization was a bit limited. Would visit again.

So I NORMALLY only write reviews for places that are a 5-5-5 stars for me… BUT I felt obligated to write this one still because I REALLY wanted to love it! 😢 I loved the idea of a bot making me a beverage 😍but it ultimately didn’t do much and I was told he is now being trained to serve only cocktails… 🤷🏽♀️ They had a deal for matcha and potstickers so I opted in. The matcha (although sadly made by a human-who was very nice), was DELICIOUS! They use a rose extract which was yummy. 🤤 The potstickers were sadly only ok because they were cooked a little too long. I feel like I’d give this place another chance if the robot would actually do something…I dunno. Maybe I’ll give it another shot next time because the matcha WAS good and I love me some matcha 🍵

Pretty cool. Input and pay for your order through the kiosk. Then wait for the robot to dispense it to you. We ordered two lattes however, I didn’t see an option to get a large size cup. I’m assuming the small cup size was the standard. Another thing was I didn’t see an option to customize the milk or sweetness level. Not a problem for us though. The store hours listed they close on weekends which is a bummer bc it’s located across the street from the state capitol. They would probably be busy and have a nice crowd on the weekends. There is also an employee on site just in case you need to order pastry and such.
